This was my first time shooting a sporting event. It was quite the learning experience. The lighting in the armory seemed pretty bright to me, but in camera it was incredibly dark. There were no ring lights so it was all overhead lights on the ceiling on the arena. I ended up having to shoot at ISO 5000-6400 and only 1/250-1/400. That’s WAY higher than i have every had to shoot before. But i think in terms of capturing the moment (minus the grain) they came out alright for my first shot at it. I’m looking forward to shooting more sporting events as well as more boxing events which i seem to have become a fan of after this. Keep checking back for future events
